It's Monday, What Are You Reading? (#13)

It's Monday, What are you reading this week? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

This weekend it was Dewey's 24 hour Read-a-Thon, and though I couldn't pull an allnighter since I was on a family getaway, I still managed to read a few books. We had a wonderful weekend, went away to a spa and gold resort (no, neither my family nor I know how to play golf, but this hotel had a great offer), and spent the weekend relaxing and walking in the beautiful autumn coloured woods :-)

Books I completed this week

Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, Book 2)

This is book #2 in the Kate Daniels series, I loved the 1st book, and though book #2 lived up to my expectations,a nd Ilona Andrews' writing is still fantastic, I was left a bit yearning for more. I wanted more Curran scenes *pouts* ;-) lol

A Safe Harbor: Building Sanctuary, Book 1

My first Moira Rogers book. It was a nice read, but I would have liked if it were longer, that way certain things could have been developed better. I felt there were a few references/allusions just mentioned and would have liked to see those elaborated a bit, but an enjoyable read nonetheless!

Amethyst Bound

An exciting dragon-shifter paranormal romance. Action-packed yet romantic, a great debut to what I hope will be a series!

Curran: Volume I (Curran POV)
I have already read this collection of scenes re-told from Curran's POV, but after reading Magic Burns, I had to re-read the scene in book #2. Love Curran!! Love the bitingly sarcastic and sexually teasing dialogues between hima nd Kate! :-D

Books I am currently reading

Personal Demons

Nightwalker (Dark Days, Book 1)
Still reading my way through book #1, I'm still around page 140, and though Jocelynn Drake's writing is poetic and beautifully descriptivesomehow I seem to be able to only progress slowly.

Books I can't wait to start soon

I'm in the mood for some historical romance. Or contemporary romance. Anyway, I need some romance fix :-)

And what are you reading this week?
