In My Mailbox (#29)

In My Mailbox
is hosted by Kristi from The Story Siren

Let me tell you how my weekend plans got completely derailed. My parents had planned to go to Vienna on Friday and spend the weekend there, visiting the Chrostmas fairs, drinking spiced wine etc. but due to serious snowing on Thursday night/Friday morning they decided seeing how most of the roads were snowed in that they would stay at home instead. And there went my plans... I planned to have some girlfriends over on Friday night for some wine and cheese and girl talk event (and a sleepover), then on Saturday I planned to do some Christmas cookie baking marathon with a friend, for Sunday I had great plans of relaxing, sleeping in and reading until I had to leave for my office Santa party (as I signed up for the Holiday Read-a-Thon..). Except the Santa party, everything else got cancelled. :-( Disappointing, I was looking so much forward to the fun.

Oh but no problem, I finally quit my job so aside some administrative paperwork I still have to take care of on Monday, I plan to do some relaxing, reading and Christmas cookie baking during the week :-) Fingers crossed nothing will come up now and thwart my plans..

Here are the books I got this week:
(Sorry my flash blinds part of the photo)

I won Dawnbreaker and a copy of Pray for Dawn by Jocelynn Drake from Steph @ Paper Cut Reviews. Steph was the October host of BBA when we read Nightwalker book 1 in the gritty yet poetic UF series by Jocelynn Drake, she had really fun events and I won the books as prize for writing the best battle scene between Mira and Danaus :-) I realy enjoyed Nightwalker and Jocelynn Drake's writing, so it was a given I would read the whole series.

However I came to have two copies of Pray for Dawn, so I would like to ask if anyone would like to swap it (preferable for book #5 Wait for Dusk but we can discuss other options too). Let me know at stella.exlibris (at) gmail (dot) com

So this is what was in my mailbox this week, and what was in yours?

And how was your weekend? Busy with cookie baking and Christmas shopping or you had no time to indulge in festive activities?
