It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#31)

It's Monday, What are you reading this week? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

This weekend was even busier than the last: we had nonstop family events, so Sunday evening I was more tired than on Friday afternoon! lol Anyway at least we had a wonderful sunny spring weekend (on Sunday we had lunch on the patio and it was more than 25 degrees Celsius! It felt like summer :-D)

Books I completed this week

Master and Apprentice

Book #2 in the Gavyn Donatti series

WOW! This second novel was just as good as the first one! The detailed and rich world building Sonya Bateman created is so full of colours and lush, it's a feast to read! I'll post my review tomorrow, but even until then if you haven't read Sonya Bateman's debut novel Master of None yet, DO! It is phenomenal!

ps. You can win either books on Ex Libris HERE.

My One and Only (Hqn)
My One and Only by Kristan Higgins

This was my 2nd Kristan Higgins novel (as you know I've read All I Ever Wanted about 2 weeks ago and loved it!). My One and Only was also a nice emotional read, one that I would recommend to those who love their contemporary romances to have some heart. Kristan Higgins will stop by for an interview and giveaway next week, and I'll post my review of both books, so stay tuned! :-)

Slave (The Cat Star Chronicles)
Slave by Cheryl Brooks

This was a free Kindle read. It is a whole length sci-fi erotica novel, will post my review during the week.

Books I am currently reading

Exit the Actress: A Novel
Exit the Actress by Priya Parmar

I have been yearning to start reading Exit the Actress for the past couple of weeks and my time has finally come, I'm reading Nells story! :-)

The Jane Austen Handbook
The Jane Austen Handbook by Margaret C. Sullivan

I like to savour this book: reading just a couple of pages, just one chapter at night in bed. The format and illustrations are adorable and of course immersing myself in anything related to Austen is a delight ;-)

Books I can't wait to start soon

Alien in the Family
Alien in the Family by Gini Koch

Evere time I glance at my nightstand I see this gorgeous cover and I have to tell myself that patience is a virtue and soon my time will come when I can finally start Alien in the Family and gobble up all the Martini goodness! ;-D

Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, Book 1)
Spider's Bite by Jennifer Estep

The Book Bloggers Anonymous will read and discuss Spider's Bite, Book#1 in the Elemental Assassins series by Jennifer Estep in Avril, come and join us!
