It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#34)

It's Monday, What are you reading this week? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Work has still not slowed down and I really need a break! Unfortunately this Easter weekend was also busy: full of family events and I also had to work, so not much rest or reading done during the weekend. Oh what I would give for a week long springbreak! :-) *sighs* Well anyway, I hope work will slow down and until then here is what I read this past week:

Books I completed this week

Yay! Gini Koch always enchants me and I suspect there is some AC mojo invoilved making me crave her novels so much right after finishing one! Withdrawal symptoms are bitch after each and every GK book! *groans* Anyway, stay tuned, I'll post my review on Thursday and Gini will also stop by for an interview, you don't want to miss it, all Gini interviews are so much fun! ;-)

Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin, Book 1)
Spider's Bite by Jennifer Estep

I have had Jennifer Estep's Spider Bite on my TBR list for so long and couldn't wait to finally read it, so thanks to the Book Bloggers Anonymous who are discussing it in April and made me bump it up on ym list. It was a fantastic read, I gobbled it up in one day and fell fast and hard for Jennifer Estep's worldbuilding, characters and writing style, I became a die hard Gin and Elemental Assassin fan, I can't wait to read the sequel novels! (and great news for us: the 4th book in the series Tangled Threads will be released on 26 April! yay! :-D)

As You Wish
As You Wish by Gabi Stevens

This was a cute and nice, fresh retelling of fairy tales and some magic romance :-) My review will be posted tomorrow on the official release date of As You Wish, and come back tomorrow because author Gabi Stevens will stop by!

Willing Victim
Willing Victim by Cara McKenna

I first saw this book mentioned by Julie at Yummy Men and Kickass Chicks and my curiosity was instantly piqued. This is a great, mildly hawt erotica with the best hero I have read about in a long time: Flynn *dreamy sighs* I would have liked if this was longer, would have loved to read more about Flynn and Laurel. Is there no sequel? :-(

Books I am currently reading

Something Secret This Way Comes
Something Secret This Way Comes by Sierra Dean

Wow! I'm still at quite the beginning but I'm already hooked by the colourful and intriguing urban fantasy world Sierra Dean has built. If only I could stay home and read this undisturbed!

Books I can't wait to start soon

Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, Book 6)
Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead

All Vampire Academy novels are dangerously addictive so I know better than to start this on Monday when I won't be able to cuddle under the duvet and read it without interruptions. So I have to exercise patience and bide my time until I can read it finally.

Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake
Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah Maclean
Caroline has praised so much Sarah MacLean's novels to me, that I can't wait to read her historical romance series, they sound cute and fun :-)

And what are you reading this week?
