It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#46)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Hey Everyone! Last week went by in a whirl: work was busy, Rachel Vincent's Shifters series sucked me in and as at the moment I don't possess yet the magic power of expanding the day to have at least 36 hours, it was sleep which lost the race. I didn't read many books if you consider only the number of them, but if you look at the pages I did quite well :-)

Books I completed

Rogue (Shifters Book 2)
Rogue by Rachel Vincent (Book #2 in the Shifters series)

Wow! Usually after a mindblowing first novel one is always a bit anxious whther the sequel novels will live up to it, but Rachel Vincent has proven the reader has nothing to fear as each one of her Shifter novels is outstanding! I gobbled up Rogue in one day and it was every bit as addictive as Stray, so I had to go on and read more of the series...

Pride (Shifters)
Pride by Rachel Vincent(Book #3 in the Shifters series)

After devouring Rogue I thought I should take a break before reading on, not because I wanted to, but because I had other (review) books I had to read for deadline, but I just couldn't. The temptation was too strong and I gave in and devoured Pride as well. And loved it! This series shot next to Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series on my most favourite UF series list, and Rachel Vincent instantly became a must-autobuy author. It was extremely hard to resist and not read Book #4 right away, but I was able to withstand the temptation this time. But so cannot wait to read on!!

Books I am currently reading

The Princess in His Bed
The Princess in His Bed by Lila DiPasqua

Lila DiPasqua's latest novel (A Midnight Dance), which is a full length novel (yay!) and a retelling of Cinderella (double yay!) was released recently, so as to get in the mood I started reading her Fiery Tales anthology, which is full of steamy and romantic historical fairy tales. The first one was enchanting and so romantic!

The "What If" Guy
The "What If" Guy by Brooke Moss

The "What If" Guy is debut author Brooke Moss' first novel and it is fantastic! It is a heartwarming small town romance, reminding me of Kristan Higgins' stories as it is emotionally deep and spotlights family relationships besides the romantic storyline. Anyway, can't wait to tell you more in my review and Brooke Moss will stop by on Thursday (August 18) at Ex Libris with a guest post and giveaway, so don't forget to come back to learn more about this wonderful novel.

Book I can't wait to start soon
Dragon Bound (A Novel of the Elder Races)

Book Bloggers Anonymous is discussing Dragon Bound in August, so I should get my butt in gear and finally get down to read it. I hear it is fantastic, the only problem is that I have so many wonderful books waiting to be read.

Prey (Shifters)
Prey by Rachel Vincent (Book #4 in the Shifters series)

And of course can't wait to revisit Faythe, Marc, Jace and the whole bunch :-D

And what are you reading this week?
