It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#48)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Hey Everyone! It's been some time I've last done an It's Monday! post since life on the blog has been busy, but I'm back to tell you all about the books I have read this past week.

Books I completed

Deadly Descent
Deadly Descent by Kaylea Cross

Wow! I've read a few novels where the hero was an ex-marine/navy/army guy, but this novel is as far from them as Cinderella is from Bridget Jones! Deadly Descent reads like a unique combination of action movie/documentary, the nonstop action and tension won't let up and you'll only catch your breath when you have finished reading it. An amazing story and a great new author I've discovered, I'll definitely check out her other novels! My review was posted on Book Lovers Inc. here

Dangerous Desire
Dangerous Desire by Diane Escalera

A very sexy read, one I'll be reviewing on Friday at Book Lovers Inc. Stop by because Diane will be there for an interview and international giveaway! ;-)

Hold Me (A Caldwell Sisters Book)

This is the first novella in the Caldwell sisters trilogy and what a start! Lucianne Rivers' writing is wonderful I felt like I was there in the humid and hot countryside of Guatemala. A very quick and enjoyable read, my review will be posted soon. Lucianne Rivers will also stop by for a guest post next Monday, on September 19 to celebrate the release of the 2nd novella of the series: Thrill Me, you should stop by to discover about this exciting trilogy!

Black Gold: Takhini Wolves, Book 1

You might have seen that Vivian Arend has been around the world on the Wolfie World Tour these past two weeks celebrating the upcoming release (on September 13th!) of Black Gold the first novel in her Takhini Wolves series! (You still have time to enter the giveaway just click on the links at the top of the blog. Hurry, contest ends today!)

Book I am currently reading

Lucky Girl
Lucky Girl by Cate Lord

I always enjoy a little rosy funny fluff and that's why I love witty and funny chick lit. When I read the premise of Lucky Girl I knew I was hooked and don't you love that cover? So cute! (Also Cate Lord will stop by Ex Libris next Wednesday, on September 21st, so if you'd like to read my review and learn more about the novel don't forget to stop by.)

Books I can't wait to start soon

There are so many great books releasing soon that I can't decide which to start first! Here are a few which are at the top of my wish-I-could-read-this-now list:

Thrill Me (A Caldwell Sisters Book)
Thrill Me by Lucianne Rivers
(Book #2 in the Caldwell Sisters series)

I really enjoyed the first book Hold Me and can't wait to meet Margo, the though and independent younger sister of Jabe and of course the dark and handsome man who'll help her ;-)

Mistress by Marriage
(Book #3 in the Mistress series)

I discovered Maggie Robinson thanks to Mistress by Mistake (the first book in the Mistress series) being a Kindle freebie and loved it! So when I learned the 3rd book was to be released (and that it's Maggie's favourite in the whole series) I got excited! :-)

A Bloody Good Secret: Secret McQueen, Book 2
(Book #2 in the Secret McQueen series)

If you follow my blog you must know how enthusiasticly I love the Secret McQueen series. It is enough for me to get in a frenzy if I hear that there is a new story by Sierra Dean, because the thrill and the fun are always guaranteed in her novels :-)

And what are you reading this week?
