It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#62)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Happy New Year to all of you!! I hope you all had a great New Year's Eve whether you went to a party or had a quiet night at home :-) Any new year's resolutions for 2012?

I have to start studying for my bar exam, but before that here is what I have read:

Books I completed

I love Nadia's novels (both Carnal Secrets and A Happily Ever After of Her Own were great!), so I had (maybe impossibly) high expectations when it came to her latest urban fantasy release. Well I am happy to report that Nadia once again blew me away! The richness and subtle nuances of her unique worldbuilding  were enchanting, my only complaint is that now I have to wait long months before I can read Book #2 in the trilogy. Not fair! :-( lol

(Book #3 in the Abandoned at the Altar series)

I really liked Book #1 in the series, and this one was just as enjoyable. It had an unusual setting and I enjoyed reading about an American heroine and seeing the old American money-British title marriage through her eyes. Trouble at the Wedding was a modern historical romance I enjoyed a lot, I simply love how emancipated, independent and strong Laura Lee Guhrke's heroines are!

Book I am currently reading

I was completely spellbound by the cover of the first book in début author E.S. Moore's series. It is so beautiful and atmospheric, like a badass Selene of Underworld! :-)

Books I can't wait to start

I'm in the mood for more delicious historical romances:

And what are you reading this week?
