It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#73)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Last week was great: I had Monday and Tuesday off work but as I was with the family I didn't do much reading and as usual when I spend time with my sisters, we don't sleep much either, so I started work even more tired than I was before the long weekend ;-) Though I planned to make most of the flight and read I was so tired after the weekly rush that I fell asleep on my way there, so that didn't help either in making a dent in my TBR pile. But I greatly enjoyed the books I did manage to read:

Books I completed

I LOVED Ruthie Knox's debut novel Ride With Me, it immediately became one of my favourite reads of 2012 so I had very high expectations of About Last Night, but thankfully Ruthie didn't disappoint this time either. Emotional and sexy, About Last Night will make a lasting impression on every reader!

Unclaimed was the first story I read by Courtney Milan, and I loved it so much that when last week between two contemporaries I needed my HR fix I turned to re-read this one, and it was a fantastic read for the 2nd time around as well! Loved it just as much as for the 1st time. Unclaimed is a wonderfully emotional and surprisingly sizzling love story despite the lack of a multitude of love scenes. A favourite of mine!

Book I'm currently reading

A very unique premise and a novel that can't be labelled easily. It is a blend of sci-fi paranormal romantic suspense, the suspense will give you chills and the romance is sweet and steamy. The author Alexia Reed will stop by the blog tomorrow to answer all my burning questions in an interview and give away a copy of Hunting the Shadows by Alexia Reed so make sure to stop by tomorrow!

Books I can't wait to start

May is Fantasy Romance month in The Romance and Me Reading Challenge (you can find the details here and the current giveaway here), and as my introduction to the fantasy genre I've chosen A Hint of Frost by Hailey Edwards. I'm excited and a bit anxious going into the unknown, but that cover is so lovely I can't wait to finally read the story it goes with.

Still haven't gotten around to read this one yet, but it remains on my TBR list.
