It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#75) + Plenty of Giveaways

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

So you want to know what I've been doing these past one and a half days? I've been looking for A book. But I'll just tell you the story ok? Last night I finished the book I was reading at 2:30 am. Yes, at half past two dawn time (on a Sunday night when I had to get up early to go to work the next day, no problem *insert sarcastic tone*). But since I was feeling still awake I got up and started rummaging through my bookshelves because I just knew what book I had to read (to be able to send the questions to the author) and was in the mood for. But despite my looking through everywhere I was unable to locate it. So after some time I gave up went to bed and to sleep, only to wake up in the morning and start searching for THE book again. After some time and still no sign of the book I just realized I was running late (yep seems THE book was playing hide and seek with me...) so I had to abandon my research and rush to get ready. Fast forward about 12 hours when I got home and after my shower I thought it was time for Round 3. I turned my book piles upside down again, looked in the shelves, in bags in cupboards but no sign of THE book. I was trying to despair and think the universe has decided it wasn't the right time for me to read THAT book, when on a hunch I went back to the very first place (top shelf) of my TBR pile and the 2 nd book from the top was THE book! The little sneaky ...! :-D But I got it and I'll start reading it tomorrow *big grin* (and if you want to know which book was the winner of this week's Hide and Seek go to the "Book I can't wait to read" part).

Last week it was the Bout of Books 4.0 Read-a-thon and I did amazingly, I was so proud of myself! (You can read about my goals and what I did achieve in this post). Here are the books I got to read:

Books I completed

A nice story but nothing too memorable or out of the ordinary rather average.

The 2nd book blogger cookbook got released with more delicious recipes. You can read my review here and you can win yourself a copy of the book HERE.

You still have time to win a copy of this short but steamy novella HERE.

Another one of Entangled Publishing's new Indulgence (category romance) line and once again I was blown away! A wonderful story and a terrific new author I discovered!

We did a dual review of this controversial and dark erotica story at Book Lovers Inc. And you can win a copy of the book HERE.

This book was categorized as "quirky fun – with strong wit and humor similar to that of Rachel Gibson or Janet Evanovich", so I was excited. Sadly despite the nice writing the characters were quite awful and after 45% I put it away.

Once I started reading this book I couldn't stop. I would love it if it were made into a movie *sighs*

Wow I just saw that I read 7 books, 1 book/day, I really did have a great bookish week :-D

Books I am currently reading

Lol funny how I started reading this one the day I had my own high school reunion :-D

Book I can't wait to start

And Ta-Da, here is the book I have turned up my room for:

After really overcoming such obstacles and not giving up I hope the book will be wonderful, I'm a huge My Fair Lady fan and I am fascinated by China, so I have high hopes! :-)

And what are you reading this week?
