It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#87)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

As we'll have a 3 day-long weekend last week was busy at work since everyone wanted to finish projects before the week was over. Then although I thought I would have plenty of time to chill and read during the long weekend it wasn't to be: since it's my birthday tomorrow my friends and little sister have organized a bunch of surprise events so I'm always on the go with not too many minutes to read. Of which my Bout of Books read-a-thon participation also suffers. I'm off to another surprise programme organized by my best friend, we'll see, hope I'll get home safe and in one piece ;-p lol

Here is what I have read this past week:

Books I completed

Was a very enjoyable and romantic hot story, until the very end I would have rather caled it Seducing My Fair Lady ;-) The hero was delicious! So glad this is part of a series and the Gina L. Maxwell's writing style is captivating, I liked it! My detailed review will be posted soon.

Sure it would have been better if I had read this series from the beginning but even starting at book #3 I wasn't lost as there was a short recap about all the characters and what they have been up to until now. It was my very first Jennifer Haymore novel but surely not the last. My detailed review will be posted on Tuesday 21 August 2012 and mark your calendars to come back because there will be a giveaway for TWO copies, so don't miss out on that!

Book I'm currently reading

I loved Hailey Edward's writing in A Hint of Frost, it was my introduction to the fantasy genre, so when I saw she had a new release (which is about angels/fallen angels) I was excited! This one is very creative but also dark. Hailey has a way with words and she conveys anguish and disillusion beautifully. I'm only at 30% but the world she has created is impressive. I hope this will be a series.

Books I can't wait to start

Wow. That cover is just so pretty. I love the dress, the model, her mischievous look, her necklace and the simple yet elegant background and staging. So yep, they had me at the first glance at this cover :-D And as the blurb sounds interesting too, I'm eager to start reading this one. (Just a heads up in advance, my review will be posted on August 27 and there will be a giveaway for TWO copies, so don't forget to come back!)

Though I couldn't wait to start this one as I was in dire need of some light and sexy paranormal romance due to review deadlines I wasn't able to start this one yet. Hopefully next week I'll get to it, because it sounds great.

And what are you reading this week?
