It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#88)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

When updating the list of books I have read in August I realized that compared to my usual 16-19 books a month I'm sorely lagging behind with just 9 books. But I know the reason for that: since my sister was home and we spent most of the evenings doing something my reading time was limited to my going to and coming from work. As summer is over and since she'll be leaving tomorrow I think September will be a busier month reading-wise.

Here is what I have read this past week:

Books I completed

I fell in love with this book after a glance at its stunning cover and I liked the flirty blurb as well. Though the story was quite different from the playful and flirty tone I had expected based on the cover+blurb I loved A Study in Seduction and can't wait to read the next books in the series! My review will be posted tomorrow and make sure to stop by as there will be a giveaway for TWO copies!

With Busted in Bollywood Nicola Marsh became a must read author for me. I love her witty writing style which is full of sexy banter between the h/h. This one was a fun and quick read, perfect to spend a couple of  delightful hours! My detailed review will be posted soon.

Books I'm currently reading

As I had some deadline review requests I had to take care of, I haven't progressed with this one last week.

Yay, I finally got to start Take it Like a Vamp! So far I enjoy the funny writing style of the author although at times I think the heroine could cut back on the low self-esteem tirades...

Books I can't wait to start

I LOVE fairy tales and couldn’t be happier that there are so many new retellings, I have heard great things about Eloisa James’ series and the cover of The Ugly Duchess is so evocative, beautiful! :-) I can't wait to read it!

A sci-fi romance with an interesting premise, I'm intrigued. Stop by on Thursday August 30th to read Heather Lin's guest post and learn some behind the scenes secrets about The System (and there will be some giveaways as well *winks*).

And what are you reading this week?
