It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#91)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Last week was very busy at work, and then I was away with the family for the second half of it so not much reading either, but here is what I have read this past week:

Books I completed

This was the 2nd book in Laura Kaye's Hearts of the Anemoi series. I think I preferred North of Need, the 1st book in the series, but West of Want was a nice read as well.

A quick and entertaining very hot novella. Detailed review to be posted soon.

I'm a big fan of Nadia Lee's stories, so far I have loved everything I have read from her, be it funny contemporary romance (A Happily Ever After of Her Own), sensual contemporary romance (Carnal Secrets) or fantasy romance (The Last Slayer), so I was very excited to read her steamy Cinderella retelling. Sadly Ashwyn was too short, I would have preferred for the story to be a bit longer. Detailed review will be posted soon.

Books I'm currently reading

This is the first book in a very exciting new urban fantasy series by newcomer Alex Hughes. The story is narrated by an ex-drug addict rogue telepath hero who is now working for the local police and is paired with a toöugh as nails female homicide detective. (Castle and Beckett anyone?) Though the story is dark, it is full of imaginative and fascinating world-building.

Books I can't wait to start

I'm in the mood for some delightful heartwarming and funny story, and what better choice than one of Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor novels? Lucky in Love is the 4th one and I can't wait to get back to Lucky Harbor and see all those beloved characters again :-D

I LOVE culinary romances and this one is even better as it features desserts! Yay! :-) Sounds like a sweet read! (pun fully intended *winks*)

And what are you reading this week?
