It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#109)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Hey Everyone,

It was only when I was putting this post together that I realized how few books I have read this week (especially considering last week's achievement)... I'll be on vacation next week, so hopefully that means lot of rest, yoga and reading will be in store for me :-) Until then here is what I have read in the past week:

Books I completed

I finally got around to start this culinary romance I've had on my TBR pile for some time now and loved it. It was steamy, hot and full of delicious cooking! My review will be posted soon.

One night around midnight I was feeling a craving for some sport romance and thought I'd read 1-2 chapters in Hired, the 1st book in Lily Harlem's Hot Ice series, which I very much enjoyed, but of course I wasn'T able to stop after only a couple of chapters and had to read the whole book. For the second time around I appreciated it even more, and now I could understand the heroine much better. You can read my review (of when I first read it) here.

Book I'm currently reading

This book came to my attention due to Anna's recommendation/wishlist and when I read the blurb I was hooked. But while reading it I realized I wasn't in the mood for a historical romance, but rather a swift sport romance, so I put it on hold at 40% and browsed what to read, and here is what I chose:

I was craving more sport romance so I consulted the Goodreads lists I have found and saw that Deirdre Martin had a hockey romance series (the New York Blades series) with many many books in it, so I started Body Check, the 1st in the series and I devoured it! I'm at 90% and loved it, so I think I'll soon start Fair Play, Book #2 ;-)

Book I can't wait to start

Since I loved the first book, The Officer Says "I Do" I can't wait to read this one which features one of my favourite tropes the best friend falling for the little sister :-D

And what are you reading this week?
