Guest post by Tonya Burrows + Giveaway

Today I have the pleasure not only of welcoming back to Ex Libris the lovely Tonya Burrows, but she has brought you a very special treat: she got to interview her very own cover model! So if you have ever been curiousabout how someone becomes a cover model and whethere it is as glamourous as it appears to be, read on to hear the truth from Angelina Cavanaugh, cover model of Wilde for Her! :-)

Before the release of my newest book, WILDE FOR HER, I had the fortune to “meet” the female model on my cover, Angelina Cavanaugh. It happened quite by accident. The photographer who took the original photo used in the cover found me online, then Angelina and I connected on Facebook through her.

Of course, I was curious about Angelina’s job. To me, being a cover model seems so glamorous. Not to mention the man candy…*ahem*…I mean, gorgeous male models she gets to work with on a daily basis!

But what is the life of a cover model really like? Luckily, Angelina was sweet enough to take some time and answer my questions.

Tonya: Welcome, Angelina. Thanks for agreeing to this interview! Have you always wanted to model?

Angelina: I kind of always knew...When I was younger my mom and grandma were always changing my outfits multiple times a day just to take photos. As I got older people always said, "Oh, you're so tall and thin....you should model." I got used to the thought very early on.

Tonya: So how did you get into modeling for book covers?

Angelina: I got started modeling for book covers in the end of July of 2013. I was contacted by a local photographer, Taria Reed of The Reed Files and Taria Reed Photography, and she basically explained to me what she did and wanted to do a test shoot. I was in! I'm a big reader so this seemed unreal! Things come at the right time in life I believe....this was one of them for me. I never looked back.

Tonya: If you could model for the cover of any author’s book, who would you choose and why?

Angelina: My favorite authors are Nicholas Sparks, Anne Rice, & Stephen King. If I could be on the cover of any of their books.....I would probably die haha. It would be an honor.

Tonya: I can imagine! So what’s a normal photo shoot like?

Angelina: Depends on your definition of normal.....haha. Shoots vary depending on if there are new models or if we have specific ideas in mind. It's always very light hearted and fun. No one is made to feel uncomfortable in anyway. A normal shoot.....is kind of like a mini party. Everyone socializes, laughs, and has fun. :-)

Tonya: Yeah, I saw that video of your karaoke sessions on Facebook. It sure looked like you all were having a blast! So tell us about your most memorable photo shoot.

Angelina: Totally coming away from the book covers thing, I would have to say my favorite photo shoot thus far has been my very first one ever. It was a pin up shoot with Bombshell Pinups and...I was so nervous but...that shoot helped me become so comfortable in my own skin. It broke a lot of barriers for me. It gave me a chance to see if I could really do all of this and helped me really be at ease in front of a lens. I'll never forget it.

Tonya: I applaud you. I’d never be so comfortable in front of a camera. Speaking of comfortable…what was it like getting up close & personal with your sexy male counterpart on the cover of WILDE FOR HER?

Angelina: My sexy counterpart on the cover of Wilde for Her is the talented Louis Bottone. It is honestly so much fun to work with him! He is a sweetheart and does an amazing job at pulling the emotion out of his female model.

Tonya: *looks at her cover* I’ll say!

Angelina: I had a blast every time we shot together.

Tonya: Okay, for fun, let’s say you can do a hot-n-steamy photo shoot with anyone. Who would you pick and why?

Angelina: Oh my....you have asked Angie the nearly impossible question to answer! :-P There are so many people I would love to shoot with but I think Johnny Depp, Zachary Quinto, or Joshua Morrow would have to take the cake for now. I didn't have to think about those three very much lol Given more time I'm sure I could come up with maybe.....87 more haha

Tonya: Thanks so much for chatting with me!

Angelina: Thank you so so much for the fun questions!!

Tonya: Want to find out more about Angelina? (And see that karaoke video I mentioned?) Check out The Reed Files’ facebook page!

Big thanks to Stella for having us here today!

Writing has always been my one true love. I wrote my first novel-length story in 8th grade and haven't stopped since. I received a B.A. in creative writing from SUNY Oswego and I'm now working on a MFA in popular fiction at Seton Hill University.

When I'm not writing, I spend my time reading, painting (badly), exploring new places, and enjoying time with my family. Give me a good horror movie over a chick flick any day. (And, let's be honest, I'll take a bad horror movie too!) I'm a geek at heart and pledge my avid TV fandom to Supernatural and Doctor Who. I'm also a big fan of The Voice. What can I say? Guilty pleasure.

I share my life with two dogs and a ginormous cat. We live in a small town in PA, but I suffer from a bad case of wanderlust and usually end up moving someplace new every few years. Luckily, my animals are all excellent travel buddies.

You can find me online at my websiteFacebook and Twitter.

Wilde for Her by Tonya Burrows

Book #2 in the Wilde Security series

Friends with benefits just got hotter.

Former homicide detective Camden Wilde has been in love with his ex-partner, Eva Cardoso, for longer than he cares to admit. Not that it matters. She’s shoved him into the friend zone, and after living through the hell of his parents’ violent deaths, Cam’s unable to give her the idyllic life she secretly desires.

Eva’s never met a person who hasn’t let her down. Cam may be sex personified, but he’s the only man she can trust, and there’s no way she’ll risk their friendship on the off-chance they could be more. Especially not after the one scintillating night she’s trying—and failing—to forget.

When a murder-for-hire contract on his head lands Eva on his doorstep, Cam knows it’s time to put up or shut up. He’s done biding his time, and he’ll be damned if he lets the delectable detective ignore what’s between them, no matter the cost.
