Novellus superbus!
Goodreads appetizer: When a screw-up by the Fullerton University Housing Office leaves Parker Galloway shacked up with four sexy men, Parker thinks four just might be her lucky number... as long as she can get Kei Yamamoto to join in the fun.
But will taking advantage of FU's mistake end up getting all five roomies kicked off campus, or will it be the closest thing to heaven Parker has ever experienced?
Mia Watts' writing is captivating and fluent, her characterization is great: all four boys are completely different and they have very distinct personalities despite the short length of the novel. Dan is the blond, sexy jock; Jackson is the thoughtful, tender Afriacan-American; Henry is the blushing, dorky but very cute geek, and Kei is the dark and brooding yet irresisitible Asian with whom Parker has to share her college room. Each one of the boys is different and cute in their own ways, and somehow the reader understands how Parker can consider sleeping with all of them.
Verdict: FU is not simply a very hot erotica (ménage) story as I expected, what surprised me was the heart-touching sweet romance woven in and the philosophical poetry (imparted through one of the characters). Unfortunately I cannot disclose more because then it will be a spoiler regarding the plot and ending of the story. Let me just say, that FU is more layered than a simply hot erotica novel.
I won this novella and though previously I haven't read anything by Mia Watts, after FU I will definitely check her out. You should too, Mia Watts' story is great for warming you on a cold, rainy afternoon. ;-) *winks*
