It's Monday, What Are You Reading? (#16)

It's Monday, What are you reading this week? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Last week I was a bit ill (my ear hurt) so I stayed at home and didn't go to work. Since my family was home in the first half of the week, I could only get down to some serious reading in the second part of the week, but I'm very satisfied with what I managed to read: 5 full length novels, and what great, enjoyable ones! Lol, and as I have told you last week that I had some serious romance craving, well it looks like I indulged: all the books I read this week were romances! :-)

Books I completed this week

Scoundrel's Honor

A wonderful historical romance! I was amazed at the layered historical background, Rosemary Rogers provided the reader with so many details about the era and customs of Russian aristocracy that I didn't feel lost at all. I immensely enjoyed Scoundrel's Honor and definitely would recommend it to anyone who loves historical romances!

His Darkest Embrace (Avon)

I have seen the first book in the series so much in the blogosphere when it came out, that I was very curious to read book #2. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed, I found His Darkest Embrace shallow and repetitive.

Hunger Aroused

The first half of the novel was exciting and original, unfortunately didn't really enjoy the second half, only read on because I didn't want to give it up.

The First Love Cookie Club
The First Love Cookie Club by Lori Wilde

Where to begin? I want to sing the praises of this book because I completely fell in love with it! I cannot wait to review it in detail but until then let me tell you that The First Love Cookie Club is the ultimate Christmas/holiday read that accompanies perfectly those festive romantic feel good family movies :-)

Passions of a Wicked Earl

Fantastic historical romance, gobbled it up in no time! Detailed review will be posted on Wednesday.

Books I am currently reading

French Fried: one man's move to France with too many animals and an identity thief
French Fried by Chris Dolley

Books I can't wait to start soon

More romance novels! Seems I'm on a craving roll :-) and

And what are you reading this week?
