It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#45)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Hey Everyone! As you know I was away on vacation last week (which btw was amazing! Bright sunny days, light breeze and gorgeous turquoise sea and of course no time constraints and tasks to do, I could read and read *dreamy sighs* Pure bliss!) so I was able to read a lot. And when I say a lot, I'm very smugly satisfied with my reading: I read 8 books in 8 days :-D Beats all my read-a-thon attempts lol ;-) So let me show you what I've read this past week:

Books I completed

First Frost
First Frost by Jennifer Estep

The prequel to Jennifer Estep's new YA series. A bit dark, so be prepared, but it is worth persevering because this series will be awesome!

Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy)
Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep

Book #1 in the series and I am hooked! I've always loved mythology and Jennifer Estep brings back archaic and legendary "species" such as Spartans, Valkyries and Vikings to populate this boarding school á la Harry Potter. My detailed review will be posted soon, I'll just leave you with saying that I thought about this novel and its characters several days after having finished the story.

Stray (Shifters Book 1)
Stray by Rachel Vincent

Book #1 in Rachel Vincent's UF shapeshifter series and I don't know why I waited until now to start it (ok, ok because I had so amny other things to read). I fell for the world, the characters and Rachel Vincent's writing immediately, gobbled up all 600 pages of Stary in one day and once I was done with it I had serious withdrawal symptoms, because silly me didn't pack Book #2, so I was left dry and cursing my lack of planning. So now that I am back, I am dying to read on!

Dangerous Lord, Innocent Governess (Harlequin Historical)
Dangerous Lord, Innocent Governess by Christine Merrill

A wonderful, heartwarming and tingle-inducing historical romance, I loved it very much. Detailed review will be posted soon also.

Wicked Rake, Defiant Mistress (Harlequin Historical)
Wicked Rake, Defiant Mistress by Ann Lethbridge

This novel reminded me of those historical adventure/romance flicks I enjoyed a lot when I was a preteen, not very authentic or realistic but quite entertaining, a good read.

Never Tempt Danger
Never Tempt Danger by Denise Robbins

I will post my review of this one soon as well.

Altar of Bones
Altar of Bones by Philip Carter

Have been so long since I last read a thriller, and somehow sunbathing and vacation equals chilling reads for me. Altar of Bones didn't disappoint it is just as fast paced as The Da Vinci Code, well written and gripping, had everything I expect and require of a good thriller! Will review this one as well (when I finally will get a moment to breathe).

The Perfect Play (A Play-by-Play Novel)
The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton

Is there anyone who hasn't seen (and drooled) over this delicious and swoonworthy cover? Now I finally got around to read it and definitely want to review it so I can share my thoughts with you.

and before you tell me I can't even count to 8, I tell you that I finished this book after I got home :-)

Awakened by a Kiss
Awakened by a Kiss by Lila DiPasqua

Wow! What a scorching hot and romantic read! *still fanning myself* Detailed review will be posted soon, and believe me, you want to know more about this anthology ;-p

Book I am currently reading

Dragon Bound (A Novel of the Elder Races)
Dragon's Bound by Thea Harrison

Everyone seemed to love and rave about this book, so I'm really curious.

Book I can't wait to start soon

Rogue (Werecats, Book 2)

If you haven't skipped the beginning of this post you know how seriously I want to read this NOW! *taking deep breaths to make the voices shut up*

Stella you are stronger than this, you can resist the addiction, you can, trust in yourself..

Shut up and give me my book *reaches over and grabs it* *slow satisfied grin* ;-D

And what are you reading this week?
