December Flashback

I can't believe 2011 flew by so fast and that tomorrow we'll begin 2012. As usual December was a whirlwind and chaotic with the whole family in residence and the nonstop family events. Work was crazy the first 3 weeks, then Christmas arrived and I had zero free and quiet time to read. And I am stunned that the year is already over! Here is what happened on Ex Libris in December:

Books read
  1. Her Christmas Pleasure by Karen Erickson
  2. Alien Proliferation by Gini Koch (Book #4 in the Kitty Katt series)
  3. More Than Meets the Ink by Elle Aycart
  4. All She Wants For Christmas Is Her Dom by Stacey Kennedy
  5. Bound for the Holidays by Mackenzie McKade
  6. Legacy by Kate Kaynak (Book #3 in the Ganzfield series)
  7. Her Dark Knight by Sharon Cullen
  8. All I Want For Christmas by Liliana Hart
  9. The Sweetest Thing by Jill Shalvis (Book #2 in the Lucky Harbor series)
  10. Midnight Sun by M.J. Fredrick
  11. Jack's Christmas Wish by Bonni Sansom
  12. Trouble at the Wedding by Laura Lee Guhrke (Book #3 in the Abandoned at the Altar series)

Books reviewed:
  1. Death Magic by Eileen Wilks
  2. The Attic in My Yard by Birgit Horvath-Muck
  3. Secret Santa by Sierra Dean (Book #2.5 in the Secret McQueen series)
  4. A Midnight Dance by Lila DiPasqua
  5. A Karma Girl Christmas by Jennifer Estep (Book #3.5 in the Bigtime series)
  6. More Than Meets the Ink by Elle Aycart
  7. Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis (Book #1 in the Lucky Harbor series)
  8. Jack's Christmas Wish by Bonni Sansom

Books I liked the best this month:

If I have to pick those reading experiences which marked me in December I have to mention 3 books:

A novel which took me by surprise, I enjoyed Elle Aycart's debut novel a lot. Check out my review if you haven't read this book yet.

(Book #4 in the Kitty Katt/Alien series)

Kitty and co. came back after a whirlwind wedding it's time for a whirlwind baby shower! Gini Koch did it again and enthralled me with her spinning and incredibly funny universe. I LOVE Gini's characters, wish I could live with them!

This is a 2 in 1 holiday deal featuring Book #1 Simply Irresistible and Book #2 The Sweetest Thing of the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis. I devoured both, and fell in love with Jill Shalvis writing (as you can see in my review of the 1s book). The Lucky Harbor series is small town contemporary romance at its best!

Book I liked the least this month:

Sadly this story was shallow, cliché and full of irritating and improbable details. If you want to know why I couldn't read it past 60% check out my review.
