It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#69)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Hi Everyone, Happy Easter!!

This week the reading was somehow slow I only got to read these two books:

Books I completed

After I saw the movie I was even more curious to read the novels, so I was glad I had the first book of the trilogy on my shelves ready to start. I liked the story especially all the little details that either weren't in the movie or that I didn't pick up on when I saw it. I enjoyed getting a more layered view on the characters and their motivations. I'll soon start book #2 Catching Fire.

I found the blurb of this book fascinating and then when I saw the gorgeous cover I couldn't resist. It was wonderful! Very authentic to the historical period in its characterisations, sizzling hot and yet romantic. I loved it! Detailed review to be posted soon, a bit closer to release date (April 23rd).

Books I am currently reading

Another book where the blurb drew me in: I was excited to read about a lady who is a renowned spy in the Napoleonic eras, but somehow maybe due to the dark undertone it is a very slow read, I keep dragging it :-/ The writing is good, detailed and evocative, it's more what the poor heroine went through that makes it a queasy read (for the time being).

Wow, this is a seriously scorching hot read! I started it last night and couldn't stop *fans herself* Addictive and very flammable! You can read an excerpt here.

Books I can't wait to start

Grave Mercy by Robin Lafevers

It is still on my wishlist, and I'll soon get to it.

I have high hopes for this book. The cover is cute, the title makes me expect a fun and flirty contemporary romance and who doesn't like a sexy fireman hunk hero? yum yum :-D

And what are you reading this week?
