It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#79)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

This week has been somewhat slower but full of historical romance cravings and reads ;-)

Books I completed

Ever since I saw this cover on Carina Press' webpage I've been intrigued by Lilly Cain's sci-fi romance series and last week I finally got around to read it, and enjoyed it a lot! You can read my detailed review here, and you can win a copy of The Naked Truth, the 2nd book in the series (but standalone story) here.

I have been in serious cover love with this book. Ever since I glimpsed this delicious and delicate cover I've been sighing and mooning. And now that I have read the book I'm a bit confused because although the cover is one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen it doesn't suit the story at all, since the heroine is a tomboy wearing breaches and short and not the demure and delicate lady portrayed in lace... My detailed review will be posted soon.

I will admit that I started reading this book based only on its title: I knew nothing about the back story, the series or the author, my interest was piqued only by its title. A unique historical romance with an extraordinary heroine and a delicious hero. My detailed review will be posted soon.

Books I'm currently reading

I started reading this contemporary romance but I was craving some historical romance, so I put it down and picked up Lady Alexandra's Excellent Adventure by Sophie Barnes. I'll have to continue reading it.

Another book which didn't fare well my HR withdrawal. I found the story a bit too sombre so I gave myself a break and will pick it up again.

As I was starting to feel my craving for HR get the better of me I tried this one, but soon realized I was in the mood for something Regency rather than Scottish romance. So after 7% I put it down for a later time.

Books I can't wait to start

I really liked the first book in the series, Alien Revealed, so I plan on reading The Naked Truth Book #2 and Undercover Alliance Book #3 in Lilly Cain's erotic/romantic sci-fi novella series.

Not only does it have a truly eye-catching cover, an interesting sounding premise but the title tells me as well to try it, so I can't wait to discover what Diane Alberts has concocted this time :-)

And what are you reading this week?
