It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#80)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

This week I was still battling my reading funk. I miss that feeling of being swept off my feet by a book. So to get over this general "blah" mood I read some shorter novella to shake things up a bit, and thankfully I enjoyed most of them. Then the family left on Saturday and I had the whole house to myself! Yay! Two days of undisturbed quiet :-) So I relaxed and read and read (read the last 4 books during the weekend) and cooked: made some delicious treats I'll soon feature in a Sunday Treat post, has been quite long since I last did one. So anyway here is what I read this past week:

Books I completed

The latest novel I read from Entangled Publishing's Indulgent line. This one was darker, more sombre than the others and maybe that's why I enjoyed it less, but still a well written, good story. My review will be posted soon.

A sssteamy historical erotica novel with likable characters and lot of scorching hot scenes I devoured in one day I believe. Thankfully it is only the 1st book in a series, so we'll get more of this goodness :-) My detailed review will be posted soon.

The 1st novella in Stacey Kennedy's Seduction Pact series and I loved it! Bind Me is the ideal introduction for anyone into the BDSM genre. A great story I recommend. Detailed review to be posted next week.

Everyone is in awe and lust with this cover, so when I tell you that the story is even better than the cover you can imagine it will be extraordinary! Diane Alberts wowed me with Try Me, and I was amazed at what a beautifully round and well developed romance and characters she gave in such a short novella (of merely 65 pages)! A wonderfully emotional yet witty (I LOVED Jeremy's sarcastic dry narrating tone!) story. I loved it. Detailed review to be posted soon.

Somehow this novella didn't live up to the expectations I had based on the blurb. The first chapter(s) were happening in such a whirlwind that it was trying not to lose my footing, the middle was delightful, rather an erotic romance, and then came the end which left me unsatisfied once again since it was rushed and forced. (Also the 1st person narrative wasn't the best choice either in my opinion).

A delicious and highly unique steampunk/clockpunk retelling of My Fair Lady I enjoyed a lot. My very first Heather Massey story, but I'm sure not the last ;-)

Books I'm currently reading

I continued reading this one at a snail's pace, somehow it didn't grab me yet...

I love cooking and I just love reading about chef heroes and heroines, so as soon as I read the blurb of Luscious I was a goner. The hero is dreamy but I'm still undecided on Olivia, the heroine...

This is the first story I read from Stella Price so I was excited and curious. And of course as I love anything that has dragons in it I couldn't resist :-)

Books I can't wait to start

Still on my TBR list as I didn't get around to reading The Naked Truth Book #2 and Undercover Alliance Book #3 in Lilly Cain's erotic/romantic sci-fi novella series.

I can't wait to start reading this one, hope it will be as good as it looks/sounds :-)

And what are you reading this week?
