Interview with Erin Nicholas & the Bradford Boys + Giveaway

It is my great pleasure not only to share with you some great news: Just For Fun the 4th book in Erin Nicholas' Bradfords series will be released tomorrow (yay!), but I am happy to welcome Erin back to the blog and she has some special treat for us: she doesn't come alone, she's bringing 4 of the Bradford Boys, double yaay! :-D So please give Erin and the boys the warmest welcome, and you could even win one of the first 3 books in the series! Erin, take it away.

It’s been two years since the first Bradford books were written. In those books we got to know Jessica, Ben, Sam, Danika, Sara and Mac. And Kevin and Dooley. Those two guys were a huge part of those books and yet, we didn’t get to really know them. Not like we wanted to. We know that they’re funny, can give as good as they get when the guys are joking around, and also have big hearts—they help at the Bradford Youth Center, help take care of Katherine and her friends, and are part of the best paramedic crew in the city—just like the others. But they’re a bit of a mystery aren’t they? We know Dooley is a goof-off and Kevin goes to church every Sunday, but who are they really?

Well, I’m happy to report that these boys finally found the right girls. Not that it was easy. But I had the pleasure of getting to know them both a lot better… and ended up totally charmed.

Recently, I told Dooley that there are a lot of women out there who’d like to know what makes him tick. Being Dooley, he was intrigued and agreed to sit down with me and answer some questions. Which was great. But, of course, it didn’t go exactly according to plan…

We agreed to meet at St. Anthony’s in one of the conference rooms right before he started his next shift with the ambulance crew.

Me: Hi, Dooley. Thanks for giving me some of your time. I know you’re a really busy guy.

Dooley: Well, for you I’d do about anything.

Having been around all these guys a long time, I take everything with a grain of salt.

Me: Is that right?

Dooley: Sure. You’re the one that had Morgan show up in that sexy red dress when we first met and you gave her that delicious naughty streak that I took advantage of in the elevator that night. I owe you.

He gives me a little wink.

Even though I know exactly what to expect, I can’t help noticing his blue eyes and smiling back at that easy grin.

Me: Well, you’re welcome. By the way, I’m pretty sure Morgan had a good time that night too.

He chuckles.

Dooley: So she owes you too.

Hmm… interesting. Morgan has fantastic taste in – just about everything. I might need to take her shopping with me sometime. But now I need to get down to business.

Me: Okay, here’s a good topic to start with—describe your perfect woman.

He settles back in his chair and grins.

Dooley: That one’s easy. I like down-to-earth girls. Girls who are completely comfortable in blue jeans and ponytails. The ones that like sports, drink beer and listen to good old rock and roll.

I’ve also known Morgan for some time now.

Me: Um… that doesn’t sound like Morgan. At all.

Morgan’s a classy girl with impeccable taste and a weakness for the expensive and extravagant.

He gives me that grin again.

Dooley: It doesn’t does it? Well, a real man is open to new experiences and learning new things.

Suddenly the door bangs open and three big guys stride into the room.

My eyes widen. I know these guys. Really well. It’s Sam, Mac and Kevin.

Mac: Thank goodness we got here in time. I hear you’re talking about what a real man can do. Couldn’t leave you alone with Dooley for that.

He also gives me a wink.

Holy testosterone overload, Batman.

They’re carrying huge sub sandwiches, two liter bottles of soda and bags of chips. They take chairs around the table and start opening the food. Looks like they’re here to stay for awhile.

Me: Um, hi guys.

How’s it possible for me to be a little tongue-tied around these guys?

Sam: Hey, Erin.

He takes a seat in the chair next to Dooley across from me. I’ve always had a little thing for Sam. He flirts like he breathes—naturally and without even thinking about it.

Sam: Have to tell you, I love the new covers on the books.

I’m very pleased with the covers myself.

Me: Thanks, aren’t they great?

Sam: Hell yeah, they’re great. Dani’s in a bikini for one thing.

He pulls out the chair at the end of the table, taking up a lot of space. Wow, he’s a big guy. But I know he’s a softy underneath it all. He has a way of making me blush just giving me a certain look. He’s got bad-boy written all over him.

Mac: Sara looks awesome too. Sexy and sweet. Perfect.

Sam kicks Mac under the table

Sam: Hey, no calling my sister sexy.

Mac smirks at his brother-in-law and best friend.

Mac: You prefer smokin’ hot?

Sam: Sweet. Just stick with sweet.

He kicks Mac again.

I sigh. In spite of creating them, I have no control over them.

Me: Not that I’m not always happy to see you, but what are you guys doing here anyway?

Kevin takes the seat beside me, unwraps his sandwich and reaches for the chips.

Kevin: We wanted to hear Dooley’s interview.

Well, of course. These guys never do anything without the others knowing all about it.

Me: But you’re going to be really quiet and respectful, right? No teasing, no interrupting?

They all look at me for a second, then burst out laughing.

Mac: And I thought you knew us.

Exactly. There’s no way this is going to be just between me and Dooley.

To be continued…

There’s more to come from these guys (of course)! There’s just too much to fit into one day! Join us for more of the interview tomorrow at

If you want to know more about the guys right now there’s lots on my website-- blurbs, excerpts and Bradford extras!

You can also get to know these guys and their girls— or if you’ve met them already—you can catch up with them in:

With friends like these…they may never date again!

A Bradford series short story

Out of their entire group of friends, Kevin Campbell and Doug “Dooley” Miller are the last bachelors standing. And if their friends’ wives have anything to say about it, they’re both going down—the sooner the better.

Sure, sometimes it’s torture to stand by and watch their friends enjoy true love. But all that touching, teasing, and goo-goo eyes? It gets old. Plus, Kevin and Dooley have their reasons for staying single, and a trio of meddling women can’t change that.

Or can they?

That’s the question that’s making them nervous. Very nervous…

Warning: This Bradfords series epilogue contains six meddling friends, two sworn bachelors and a bunch of crazy set-ups. It’s also a sneak peek at the next two books where Kevin and Dooley do find true love…without any help from their friends.

And you can find Dooley’s story, Just For Fun, just released:

There’s having fun… And then there’s falling in love.

The Bradfords, Book 4

It was a chance meeting, a spontaneous, hot moment, a never-to-be-repeated encounter. So when the gorgeous redhead he knows only as Sugar walks into the bar and heads straight for him, Doug “Dooley” Miller knows he’s in trouble. But he’s sure not going to mind.

She needs a date to some swanky something-or-other. He’s a fish-sticks-and-denim guy, but for a woman who’s not afraid to get naughty in an elevator, he can stand a couple days of smoked salmon and Armani.

Morgan James admits she doesn’t really know Doug, but she needs him to keep her mind—and hands—off her ex. A man who, despite the fact he stole her ideas, she’s afraid could charm her into repeating her mistakes. Only Doug can make her forget the weasel exists. Besides, it’s just this one time.

What started as not even a one-night stand has Dooley feeling things that he’s never felt before. And that’s outside of the bedroom. Don’t even get him started on what’s happening between the sheets. Why does he have a feeling that, as far as flings go, they’re doing something wrong? Then again, if they’re falling in love, they might just be getting that right.

Warning: Contains a woman who knows what she wants, a man who knows what he doesn’t want, and a proposition that shows them both that they’ve never really wanted anything like this before.
