Hi Stella! Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your Blogoversary Party and congratulations on your success!
Thanks so much for hosting this visit with Quinn and Holly from A RISK WORTH TAKING.
Victoria: Hey guys, nice to see you again! For those of us who haven’t met you before, can you tell us a little about when you first met?
Holly: Years ago! I remember watching-
Quinn: *Coughs* You mean, stalking-
Holly: No. I never stalked. I watched Quinn from a distance. I was much younger-a teenager and he was in his twenties. I went away to school and didn’t really come back to Red River until years later.
Quinn: When she fell in love with me pretty much right away. No actually, she was still in love with me when she came back.
Quinn: Uh, to clarify, I said that because you were about to sleep in a mouse-infested, decrepit house. I was trying to be nice.
Holly: Nice? If you’d been nice you never would have gotten married when I went away to school.
Quinn: That’s all in the past-
Victoria: [Coughs] Let’s try and get this interview back on track. Quinn, what did you think when you first saw Holly again after all those years? Had she changed? Was she still the same woman you remembered?
Quinn: But a total pain in the ass-
Holly: That’s lovely.
Quinn: Wait, I’m not finished. But I knew, even before Holly did, that we were meant to be together. She’d given up on us. I knew I wasn’t going to let her go a second time. Losing her the first time was one of the biggest regrets I ever had. [Kisses Holly]
Victoria: You both seem so happy now, and I’m so thrilled that you were able to finally find your happily-ever-after.
Holly: Well, we couldn’t have done it without you.
Victoria: Thanks. You two didn’t make it easy on me, you know. Holly, after that whole counter top/basement window debacle I thought that was it.
Quinn: Oh, I know that was unreal-
Holly: I was justified-
Victoria: But I must say, Quinn you had a very, um, creative solution to winning that argument.
Holly & Quinn (laughter).
Victoria: And how is Ella doing?
Holly: Wonderful! Growing so fast. She’s a real daddy’s girl, too.
Quinn: She’s a smart kid.
Victoria: Thank you so much for chatting with me, guys. I have to admit I really miss you two. I’m sure I’ll see you again; I still have your brothers to contend with, don’t I?
Holly: Good luck with that. His brothers are even worse. Speaking of, have you seen Jake lately?
Victoria: [Coughs] Actually I have. He’s gotten himself into some trouble, I’m afraid. But, it’s not my place to say, really. Oh, and Holly keep an eye on Claire. She needs a friend.
Holly: What? Why? What do you know?
Victoria: I can’t say, I’m sorry. I’m sure they’ll find a way to work it out.
Quinn: Who? Claire and Jake? Makes me think I should go back and read that scene from Ella’s birthday party. So do we get a free copy-?
Holly: I knew you were cheap-
Victoria: Sorry guys, you’ll have to purchase your copy like everyone else. (You can do so here: Amazon - B&N - iTunes.)
Holly, I am running a contest on my Blog for a Coach Gift Card-in honour of your love of designer accessories. (See giveaway details below.)
I’ll see what I can do about getting you a discount on the next book. Stella’s telling me I need to wrap this interview up and my editor’s telling me to stop blabbing about Jake and Claire. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. You both deserve all the happiness you have coming to you.
Thanks so much for having us here today, Stella! I’m more than happy to take questions on Holly and Quinn’s behalf, or any questions/comments for me.
