Fake relationship stories are among my favorites. Besides reading them, I love watching them, too. So I thought I’d share my Top 5 Favorite Pretend Boyfriend/Fiancé Movies/Books with you today…
2) Just Go With It. Okay, so in this case it’s a pretend wife/husband and they’re getting a divorce arrangement, but the same dilemma is there. I loved the cast. Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, and a hilarious Nicole Kidman. I loved how Jennifer blackmails Adam to take them all to Hawaii. And I really enjoyed watching their true feelings emerge.
3) Seven Day Fiancé. I adored this book by Rachel Harris! Her hero Cane is a seriously swoon worthy bad boy, and paired with the sweet Angelle, he grows even more appealing. Because Cane might not do love, but he wants to do Angelle and his feelings for her are messing with his head. The family dynamics, New Orleans setting, and humor all add to a wonderful romantic read.
4) My Fake Fiancé. This is the perfect cheesy television movie with two lovable characters from the 90’s – Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence. They’re virtual strangers, both down on their luck, who decide to fake their engagement and wedding just to receive the cash and gifts a bride and groom get. Of course they fall in love for real.
5) Always On My Mind. This is the eighth book in the Lucky Harbor series from Jill Shalvis and I loved it! Leah and Jack are the cutest couple. They’ve been best friends since they were young but when Leah tells a fib to Jack’s mom, they’re suddenly Lucky Harbor’s “It” couple and watching them fight their attraction and then give in was so much fun!
I know there’s lots more fake stories out there. Which ones are your favorites?
Her other novels include Kissing the Maid of Honor, Worth the Risk, Risky Surrender and Yours At Midnight. She loves to connect with readers.
