Guest post by Robin Bielman + Giveaway

Besides wedding romances, enemies to lovers or friends to lovers my other favourite romance trope is the fake engagement/pretend relationship one, so when I heard that the new release of one of my favourite romance author's will be a fake relationship story I was giddy with excitement. Well the day has finally come when Her Accidental Boyfriend, book #2 in Robin Bielman's Secret Wishes series is finally out and Robin stops by the blog today to share with us some of her favourite Pretend Boyfriend/Fiancé Movies/Books! So please give her a warm welcome, if you haven't read her Secret Wishes series yet, then do! (what are you waiting for? I LOVED Kissing the Maid of Honor, the first book in the series (as you can see it in my detailed review)! and can't wait to read Her Accidental Boyfriend) and don't forget to enter the giveaway at the end :-)

Hi everyone! I’m so happy to be back on Ex Libris to celebrate my latest release from Entangled Publishing’s Bliss line, HER ACCIDENTAL BOYFRIEND! Thanks so much for having me here, Stella! This is one of my favorite stops!

I had so much fun writing this book. My hero Shane Sullivan is committed to one thing: his job. He’s a flirt and a playboy and has no intention of ever settling down. Enter Kagan Owens. When she lets a teeny lie slip about Shane being her boyfriend, his life will never be the same time.

Fake relationship stories are among my favorites. Besides reading them, I love watching them, too. So I thought I’d share my Top 5 Favorite Pretend Boyfriend/Fiancé Movies/Books with you today…

1) The Wedding Date. I loved this movie. (And actually just watched it again the other day.) When the heroine needs to find a boyfriend fast, she hires a male escort to be her date to her sister’s wedding—a wedding in London. Great location, great cast, great fun with a little drama on the side.

2) Just Go With It. Okay, so in this case it’s a pretend wife/husband and they’re getting a divorce arrangement, but the same dilemma is there. I loved the cast. Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, and a hilarious Nicole Kidman. I loved how Jennifer blackmails Adam to take them all to Hawaii. And I really enjoyed watching their true feelings emerge.

3) Seven Day Fiancé. I adored this book by Rachel Harris! Her hero Cane is a seriously swoon worthy bad boy, and paired with the sweet Angelle, he grows even more appealing. Because Cane might not do love, but he wants to do Angelle and his feelings for her are messing with his head. The family dynamics, New Orleans setting, and humor all add to a wonderful romantic read.

4) My Fake Fiancé. This is the perfect cheesy television movie with two lovable characters from the 90’s – Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence. They’re virtual strangers, both down on their luck, who decide to fake their engagement and wedding just to receive the cash and gifts a bride and groom get. Of course they fall in love for real.

5) Always On My Mind. This is the eighth book in the Lucky Harbor series from Jill Shalvis and I loved it! Leah and Jack are the cutest couple. They’ve been best friends since they were young but when Leah tells a fib to Jack’s mom, they’re suddenly Lucky Harbor’s “It” couple and watching them fight their attraction and then give in was so much fun!

I know there’s lots more fake stories out there. Which ones are your favorites?

Writing is a dream come true, and she still pinches herself to be sure it’s real.

Shane has no intention of settling down—in fact, his job depends on it, and nothing’s more important than his work. Still, he can’t help but agree to Kagan’s scheme, if only to find out more about the mysterious beauty.
