It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#105)

It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.

Hey Everyone,

Last week was the Bout of Books 6.0 Read-a-thon, but since I was working full-time and attending a training on Sunday I didn't get much reading done :-/

However, I got inspired by all the pumpkin we had at home so I became a real kitchen fairy: I baked some pumpkin pie muffins, pumpkin spice cookies with cinnamon whipped cream, and even made some Indian dahl for lunch :-)

But culinary accomplishments aside, here is what I have read in the past week:

Books I completed

I LOVED this holiday anthology! Seriously, it was one of my favourite Christmas reads, so I can't wait to tell you how heart-warming, cute and adorable these three stories were. Check back later today as I'll post my review tonight.

 -  - Book Depository

I loved Barbara Wallace's previous novel and so I started  with high expectations, especially as I heard this was a modern-day Cinderella/My Fair Lady retelling and I just love those. The story was a bit different from what I was expecting and maybe it would have been better if my expectations hadn't mislead me. But a nice story nonetheless, and my review will be posted very soon. (For a chance to win the book enter the giveaway at Book Lovers Inc. or here at Ex Libris)

This was a lovely smexy New Year's Eve short romance, I enjoyed it a lot, and will definitely keep my eye on Linda Morris. ;-) My detailed review will be posted soon.

Book I'm currently reading

Another one of Entangled Publishing's latest New Year's Eve romances, and though I'm only at 42%, I'm very much loving it so far! Robin Bielman's writing style is outstanding, seems I discovered a new favourite author. :-)

Books I can't wait to start

I'll have to take a look at my current TBR pile and see what tickles my fancy, but for the moment I remember two books I can't wait to read:

 -  - Book Depository

I first got intrigued by this book when I glimpsed its alluring cover (see the scales on her shoulder and the flaming dragon in her palm?), and the blurb sounds equally captivating, I can't start to read it! :-D

You know how much I love culinary romances and this one looks like a HOT read :-)

And what are you reading this week?
